Senior Night for Volleyball is Thursday

Arkansas Tech University will close out the home portion of its 2015 volleyball season and honor four senior student-athletes when the Golden Suns entertain Ouachita Baptist University on Thursday, Nov. 12.

First serve at Tucker Coliseum is scheduled for 6 p.m. Admission will be free.

Seniors (photographed, from left) Colleen Wooten, Rachel Hampton, Katie Huff and Kaci Jackson will be recognized for their contributions to Arkansas Tech volleyball. Over the past four years, the Golden Suns have accumulated an overall record of 105-34 and a Great American Conference mark of 47-10.

With a win over Ouachita, Arkansas Tech (24-6 overall, 14-1 GAC) would clinch the 2015 GAC regular season volleyball championship outright. The Golden Suns have already clinched a share of the title and the No. 1 seed in the GAC Tournament, which will be played Nov. 19-21 in Hot Springs.

Arkansas Tech has defeated Ouachita twice this season, both times in straight sets. The Lady Tigers (15-10, 8-7) have clinched a berth in the GAC Tournament.
