Eligible Arkansas Tech University students may apply for the a partial tuition scholarship for the spring semester.
In order to qualify for the scholarship, students must be of African-American heritage and be committed to teaching in the public schools of Arkansas at either the early childhood/middle or secondary level.
Additionally, students must be enrolled in a teacher education program, be a member of the Arkansas Association of Health, Physical Education and Dance, SNEA or CMLA, be enrolled in a 15 credit hour course load, and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better.
Individuals meeting the above requirements may apply by submitting a completed application, two letters of recommendation from university officials, a brief essay on why the applicant is interested in teaching and including a record of school and community activities.
