Nov. 7: “Beauty and the Beads” fundraiser for the Franklin County Single Parent Scholarship Fund. Discover how donations are making a difference in the lives of single parents.
The event starts at noon and will be held in the Gardner Center at Ozark First United Methodist Church. Tickets are $25. There will be lunch, style show and silent auction of jewelry and accessories. For more information, contact Laura Rudolph at (479) 508-3315.
To apply for the Single Parent Scholarship, visit the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund website and select the county in which you live. Below are deadlines for surrounding counties:
Dec. 1: Johnson County
Dec. 5: Franklin, Logan and Sebastian Counties
Dec. 15: Logan County
Nov. 17: Deadline for all Arkansas Tech-Ozark scholarships. The campus offers both institution and foundation scholarships, and there is only one application for all of them.
In addition to the application, students must submit a letter outlining their career goals and academic accomplishments as well as a letter of recommendation. Applications are available in the Office of Financial Aid and on the website.
Nov. 17: Deadline for Randy Davis Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is open to Paramedic/EMS students who live in Sebastian, Crawford or Johnson counties. The application is the same as the Arkansas Tech-Ozark application and is available in the Office of Financial Aid and on the website.
