Safe Spring Break Events This Week

Alcohol and Other Drug Education (AODE) has teamed up with student organizations to present a week of activities to encourage Arkansas Tech students to have a safe spring break. The events begin today.

This year’s theme is “Fun in the Sun,” and events have a common purpose of educating students about safety while traveling.

AODE and Student Government Association are hosting “Don’t be a Dum-Dum” today at the Hindsman Tower from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Students can stop by and choose their favorite flavor of sucker and receive tips to have a safe spring break.

On Tuesday, students will be able to collect a Safe Spring Break Kit. The AODE representatives and Residence Hall Association members will be handing them out in the hallway outside of Chambers Cafeteria.

Students can stop by the St. Patrick’s Day Rave Thursday in Young Ballroom for a free Safe Spring Break luggage tag. The rave is set to begin at 8 p.m.
