Dr. Blake Bedsole, vice president for enrollment management at Arkansas Tech University, has been elected to the executive committee for the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (SACRAO).

Bedsole will serve a two-year term as the program vice president for recruitment, admissions and enrollment management. As part of the role, he will be responsible for program sessions at the SACRAO annual conference and work on other duties as assigned from the executive committee.

“SACRAO has long worked tirelessly to promote professional development in higher education, and I am excited to serve in this capacity and give back to the organization that has taught me so much,” said Bedsole. “I look forward to representing Arkansas Tech and working with colleagues across the region to help advance the profession of enrollment management over the next two years and beyond.”

In addition to his election at the 2020 annual conference, he was recognized for his previous service as a co-editor for the The SACRAO Journal and as the program chair for personal and professional development in 2019-20.

Bedsole joined Arkansas Tech in 2018 and provides leadership to the Office of Admissions, Office of Financial Aid and MARCOMM.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a Master of Arts degree in higher education administration from the University of Alabama. He earned a Doctor of Education degree in higher education management from the University of Georgia.
