Russellville Mayor Tyrone Williamson was on the Arkansas Tech campus this morning learning more about the Arkansas Small Business Technology Development Center, which is housed in Rothwell Hall.
While on the campus, Williamson toured Rothwell Hall and met with Jim Reser, director of the ASBTDC, to discuss the center and the services it provides for residents.
The ASBTDC is dedicated to assisting new, existing and expanding businesses, and the center offers a variety of services including consulting, training and market research. Many of the services are provided free of charge.
The ASBTDC represents a partnership between the U.S. Small Business Administration, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and other institutions of higher education in the state.
There are about 1,000 centers across the country, and the network of small business development centers is the largest outreach program coordinated by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
