Seven Arkansas Tech University recreation and park administration students attended an Arkansas Game and Fish Commission marksmanship day at Camp Robinson on Tuesday, March 15.
Jennifer Fields, Garett Hubbard, Nicholas Lacy, Payton Leach, Bradley Luna, Joshua Pulliam and Hunter Waters completed their National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) archery instructor certification and a gun safety course as part of the program.
They also attended seminars from various AGFC employees — including education (Hollie Sanders, Karen Westcamp-Johnson), law enforcement (Rick Fields), land biologist (Clint Johnson) and firing range (Bill Haynes) — and practiced their skills at the archery range and the trap shooting range.
Dr. Michael Bradley, ATU associate professor of recreation and park administration, led the students on the experience.
