River Valley Tractor has donated the use of a Kubota BV4160 hay baler to the Arkansas Tech University Department of Agriculture for utilization in its outdoor learning laboratories.

The gift was made possible by Robert Wallace, general manager at River Valley Tractor in Russellville, and Wyatt Castor, hay products specialist for the Kubota Corporation.

“We extend our appreciation to our partners at River Valley Tractor and Kubota for their continued support of Arkansas Tech University and the ATU Department of Agriculture,” said Dr. Justin Killingsworth, associate professor of agricultural education and interim head of the ATU Department of Agriculture. “Collaborations such as the one we enjoy with River Valley Tractor are beneficial to the agriculture community in Arkansas as we work together to support the industry today and develop the next generation of ag leaders for our state.”

River Valley Tractor and the ATU Department of Agriculture co-host an annual hay day each spring. The event provides agriculture producers with an opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations of the newest technologies and implements available to their operations.
