A retirement reception for Dr. Georgena Duncan will be held Tuesday, Dec. 7 from 2-3 p.m. in the Witherspoon lobby.
Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities Dr. Micheal Tarver invites faculty, staff and students to celebrate Dr. Duncan’s retirement and give her best wishes. She has been at Arkansas Tech since 1975.
Dr. Duncan teaches courses in military history and the history of Africa. She returned to full-time teaching after serving as the History and Politcal Science Department Head and Dean of the School of Liberal and Fine Arts, which is now the College of Arts and Humanities. Dr. Duncan has received numerous teaching and service awards during her time at Arkansas Tech.
