ResLife Spotlight: Critz-Hughes-Tucker Complex

The staff at Critz-Hughes-Tucker Complex has been selected as the next group to receive the Office of Residence Life Staff Spotlight.

The Resident Director Appreciation and Recognition committee developed this honor as a way to recognize everyone on the staff for their dedication and hard work.

Additionally, the recognition program allows residents of the hall and the campus community to get to know their leaders.

Here is some information about each member of the staff:

 Resident Assistant Christopher Terrell is a senior math major with a minor in anthropology. He is from Grannis. Terrell hosted a polar bear plunge and people from across campus attended. He likes being an RA because he gets paid to hang out with people. His hobbies include rock climbing, playing guitar, banjo, and piano and eating things that contain peanut butter.

Resident Assistant Taylor Phoumivong is from Fort Smith and double majoring in sociology and speech communication. He became an RA to get involved in the Tech community and he enjoys getting to meet so many different people. Taylor chose Arkansas Tech for the great atmosphere, positive faculty and appropriate size. His favorite candy is a Kit-Kat.

Resident Assistant Abbi Duvall is a freshman English and creative writing major from Atkins. She is a member of the Arkansas Tech Band of Distinction and Tau Beta Sigma. She hosted a program called “Sundaes and Sex Crimes” and her residents ate ice cream and watched Law and Order: SVU. Her favorite candy is anything with dark chocolate.

Resident Assistant Kylee Hansen from Rogers is a junior rehabilitation science major is a primary emphasis in social services and secondary emphasis in vocational rehabilitation. Her favorite part of being an RA is meeting new people and having fun. She also enjoys all of the opportunities to do arts and crafts. She enjoys painting, reading, bike riding knitting, antique and thrift store shopping, and anything to do with cats.

Resident Assistant Ashli Hotary is a sophomore hospitality major from Fayetteville. Her degree emphasis is on tourism and event management. She chose Arkansas Tech because she fell in love with the school and the beautiful campus when she came for a tour. She became an RA because it seemed exciting and she wanted to get more involved, and she enjoys building relationships with people she may not have otherwise.

Resident Assistant Anna Fulenwider is a senior psychology major from Cabot. She became an RA because she was inspired by one of her high school teachers. Her favorite part of being an RA is finding new friends. She hosted a program called “Canvas with Crayons.” She enjoys creating anything, such as food, arts and crafts pictures, etc. Her favorite candy is Twix.

Resident Director Tyler Perkins is a first year graduate student in the college student personnel program. He has a bachelor of science degree in zoology from Washington State University. His favorite TV show is Glee and his favorite movie is Rent. He is a Harry Potter fan and his favorite color is teal. His favorite Tech experiences have been opening Tucker Hall and being called Mr. Perkins by his staff and residents.
