Resident Assistants Begin Training Sunday

More than 80 resident assistant at Arkansas Tech will move in early to begin the training process this weekend.

After moving in Sunday morning, the students will begin at 5 p.m. developing skills that will allow them to better serve their students.

As part of the rigorous training process, the resident assistants will learn how to check students into their rooms, plan a variety of programs, work together as a team, establish a safe and learning conducive environment that correlates with Arkansas Tech policies and develop a community within their halls.

Freshmen begin moving in on Saturday, Aug. 20. Returning students move in on Monday, Aug. 22.

The Office of Residential Life says resident assistants play an important part in the collegiate experience of the more than 2,500 students living on the Arkansas Tech campus.
