Tech Plans Volleyball Camps

Area youngsters wishing to improve upon their volleyball skills will have the opportunity to attend several volleyball camps at Arkansas Tech this summer.

Kristy Bayer, head volleyball coach, has announced that she will conduct three specialty sessions and two camps throughout the summer

There will be a serving session on Tuesday, May 25.  Students wishing to work on passing skills will be able to attend a passing session on Wednesday, May 26.  There will also be an attacking session that has been scheduled for Thursday, May 27.

All of the specialty sessions are open to those entering grades 7-12, and the cost to attend each session is $25.  Registration for each session begins at 5 p.m., and the sessions will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Bayer will hold an all-skills camp June 20-22, and the camp is open to those entering grades 6-12 and will focus on improving key skills and maximizing the number of contacts.  Cost is $180 for commuters or $230 for overnight campers.

The advanced camp is open to players entering grades 9-12 that have two or more years experience playing organized volleyball. Cost is $105 for commuters or $135 for overnight campers.
