The Arkansas Tech Office of University Relations and the Arkansas Tech Department of Athletics have launched a redesigned version of the athletics website athletics.atu.edu.
The new site includes several upgraded features such as larger photos, video and photo galleries, a new content structure and better navigation.
Michael Stoker, director of web strategies and operations, began redesigning the site last year. Stoker says the new site offers a look that is consistent with athletic websites across the country.
The website is also the first site to launch in Arkansas Tech’s new Content Management System, OU Campus, which will allow for easier content updates. He adds, “Athletics has the largest site on campus and generates the most traffic. This update has been greatly needed, and I believe the new look, content structure and other upgraded features will play a vital role in helping the university better communicate its message in regards to athletics.” Stoker says while the redesign is complete, there are plans to add additional features and functionality to the site in the coming months.
