The Golden Suns used a 19-8 spurt to open a 60-49 lead with 7:01 remaining. Tech maintained at least an eight-point edge the rest of the way. Sophomore forward Danielle Frachiseur scored eight points during the decisive run, while junior guard Katrina Hayden added seven points during the surge. Junior forward Fatima Adams registered 28 points and 12 rebounds. Hayden finished with 14 points and seven assists. Senior forward Jacinda Myers-Sanders scored 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field as the Golden Suns improved to 14-1 in their last 15 games against Henderson State. About the Reddies: Henderson State has won two consecutive games and four of its last five, including a 75-46 victory over arch rival Ouachita Baptist University on Thursday night. The Reddies rank first in the GAC in 3-point field goal percentage defense (.271), but last in the conference in overall field goal percentage defense (.439). Senior guard Aungelique Sledge is No. 4 in the GAC in scoring (18.9 points per game). The Wonder Boys have won their last seven home games against the Reddies. Senior guard Mike Balogun has reached double figures in scoring three consecutive games and is averaging 18.3 points per game over that span. He has made at least one 3-pointer in 16 of Arkansas Tech's 18 games this season. About the Reddies: Henderson State stopped a two-game losing streak with a 71-67 triumph over Ouachita Baptist in the Battle of the Ravine series on Thursday night. Sophomore guard Kevin Kozan scored 21 points and senior forward Kelvin Dixon added 16 points for the Reddies. Kozan was 7-of-10 from 3-point range.
