The football season opener at Arkansas Tech University will be especially exciting for the four Tech students who walk away with a highly sought-after door prize.
Kickoff for the Wonder Boys’ 98th season opener is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, against the Bacone College Warriors.
Arkansas Tech students entering Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field on Saturday through the main entrance near the ticket booth will receive a prize ticket.
At the end of each quarter, students holding those prize tickets will be eligible to win one of the following prizes from the Arkansas Tech Office of Student Services:
- End 1st Quarter: $150 Baz-Tech Gift Card
- Halftime: 37″ LCD Television
- End 3rd Quarter: Red Parking Hangtag for 2012-13 Academic Year
- End of Game: $150 Baz-Tech Gift Card
Students must be present at the time of the announcement in order to win a prize. Winning ticket numbers will be announced over the stadium public address system.
Admission to regular season home athletics events at Arkansas Tech is free for those with a valid Tech identification card.
Saturday’s contest between the Wonder Boys and the Bacone Warriors will mark the first game on the new synthetic turf at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field.
