Red Flag Campaign Returns to Tech

Members of the Arkansas Tech University community will learn about dating violence on college campuses next week as part of an awareness campaign. Julie Mikles-Schluterman, associate professor of sociology, organized the events and said she hopes to educate Tech students on how to recognize and respond to red flags in relationships. Earlier this week, red flags were placed at the Hindsman Tower, and the flags will remain on display throughout the week. The following events are taking place as part of the annual Red Flag Campaign: Tuesday – Sexual Assault Awareness Day

Tuesday – Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
  • The walk begins at 2 p.m. at the Hindsman Tower
  • Students are encouraged to wear red and black and take part in an awareness walk
Tuesday – Project Unbreakable

Thursday – Like a Girl
