"Feast of Carols" To Be Served on Sunday

Some of the top musical talent on the Arkansas Tech University campus will come together for the choral program’s traditional “Feast of Carols” holiday concert on Sunday, Dec. 5. The performance will begin at 2:30 p.m. in Witherspoon Auditorium. Admission will be free and open to the public. Brandon Faciane of Subiaco and Keely Futterer of Dover will be among the featured vocal soloists, while Arkansas Tech band members Melissa Spaunhurst, Kathryn Endel, Chris Dunn, Roger Norman and Jackson Pulliam will accompany the choirs on several selections. The concert will include performances by the University Women’s Chorus under the direction of Holly Ruth Gale, the University Men’s Chorus under the baton of Jon Clements and the University Choir, Concert Chorale and Chamber Choir under the direction of Gary Morris. Morris, who serves as director of the choral program at Arkansas Tech, said that another highlight of the show will be when singers surround the audience to perform “Echo Noel.” For more information about public performances by the Arkansas Tech Department of Music, call (479) 968-0368.
