Arkansas Tech University alumni and friends will soon be gathering at Oaklawn Racing and Gaming in Hot Springs for the third annual “Day at the Races.”
On Saturday, April 2, Tech fans in attendance at Oaklawn Park will have a reserved seating area throughout all the races.
Last year, one race was dedicated to commemorate and honor Arkansas Tech alumni and friends, and it was named the Arkansas Tech Alumni Classic.
Angela Bonds, director of alumni relations, says she hopes lots of Tech graduates make the trip to the Spa City to connect with other graduates.
This is the third time the Arkansas Tech Alumni Association has hosted an event at Oaklawn. Bonds said the idea for hosting a day at the races came from two Arkansas Tech graduates.
