Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville will host its fall 2021 Human Library on Thursday, Nov. 4, from 1-3 p.m. in room 300B.

“A human library is one in which the books are people who defy stereotypes,” said Sherry Tinerella, associate librarian at ATU. “Readers, or the people visiting the event, check out a book. The reader then sits with the book and listens to the book tell their story. The purpose of the human library is to promote inclusion by getting people to talk to each other and ask questions in a safe environment.”

The event is free and open to the public. It is presented in collaboration with the Social Movements class at ATU.
