PRSSA Students Attend National Conference

Earlier this month, two Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) members from Arkansas Tech University received the opportunity to attend the PRSSA National Conference in San Francisco.

 

EarlieEarlier this month, two Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) members from Arkansas Tech University received the opportunity to attend the PRSSA National Conference in San Francisco.

Senior Brooke Smith and junior Emily Langford were able to increase their knowledge and understanding of the public relations industry through activities and breakout sessions.

They also heard keynote addresses from Timothy Jordan, senior developer advocate for Google; Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter;  Fred Cook, CEO and President of GolinHarris; and Tim Westergren, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer for Pandora.

“I believe that the conference helped me prepare for my future,” said Smith. “It gave me the opportunity to network with a vast array of public relations professionals, to meet other public relations students from around the country and expanded my knowledge of different public relations career fields.”
