Practical Nursing pinning ceremony Dec. 19

The Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus will hold its pinning ceremony Thursday, Dec. 19, for fall graduates of the Practical Nursing program.

The ceremony begins at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Student Services Conference Center. Once passed, graduates become a licensed practical nurse through the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. During the pinning ceremony, the following awards will be given out: “Student of the Year,” “Friendship Award,” “Best Practical Nursing Assessment Award” and “Winner Award.” The guest speaker for the event is Shelly Weilenman, Arkansas market chief executive for Sparks Health System and Health Management Association.
