Pierce Honored With Retirement Reception

Kathy Pierce, institutional assistant to the vice president for student services and university relations at Arkansas Tech University, was honored with a retirement reception at the Doc Bryan Student Services Building on Thursday.

Pierce (photographed, left) began her career at Arkansas Tech as a student worker in 1995. Over the past 16-plus years, she earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Arkansas Tech while working in the College of Business and the Office of Student Services.

“I am very thankful for the opportunities for professional and personal development which have been provided to me over the past 16 years,” wrote Pierce in her letter of retirement. “This has been a great experience for me. I have made many friends that I will greatly miss.”

Susie Nicholson (photographed, right), vice president for student services and university relations, presented Pierce with a plaque in recognition of her years of service to Arkansas Tech.
