Arkansas Tech University students will gather Monday evening to begin the start of Homecoming festivities with a pep rally.
Monday’s pep rally is scheduled for 9 p.m. at Thone Stadium, and the event marks the start of a week of Homecoming events for Arkansas Tech University students.
As part of the pep rally, Arkansas Tech registered student organizations will be able to compete in a spirit competition. Organizations taking part in the competition are encouraged to showcase their best Tech spirit. The organization displaying the best school pride will win an Arkansas Tech spirit stick and bragging rights. .
In addition to getting Arkansas Tech students excited about Homecoming, university officials will announce the members of the Homecoming court during the pep rally. Earlier this semester registered student organizations had the opportunity to nominate an individual to represent them on the court, and the individuals selected for the court will be announced during the pep rally.
The theme for this year’s Homecoming is “Beat the Savage Storm.”
