pARTy in the Park and National Dance Week in Russellville are set to kick off at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The day will begin with a Zumba demo and mini class by instructor Joyce Baker of Dance with Joy Studio on the dance and performance stage located in the Hughes Center.
There are activities scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The performance schedule for the day includes:
10:30 a.m. Mirage Belly Dance Troupe, Terry Holland instructor
11 a.m. Krav Maga and Women’s Self Defense demo, John Terry instructor
11:30 a.m. Remnant Christian Dance Team, Mark Dollar instructor
12 p.m. River Valley Martial Arts Kids Demo, John Terry instructor
12:30 p.m. Zumbatronic kids demo and mini class, Susie Bickham instructor
1 p.m. Dance with Joy Studio kids and adults demo with guest performers, Joy Murphy, director, and Jessica Russo instructor
1:45 p.m. Arkansas Scottish Country Dance Society dance demo and mini class, Judy Robertson instructor
2:30 p.m. Rogue Infusion Belly Dance, Udit Graham instructor
The festival will also include an adult music and vocal stage, and new this year, a teen (age 7-17) performance stage, an instrument petting and musical performances by Shirley and Dr. Brian Faulkner, and a story reading with live animals.
Artists, games, crafts, vendors, information booths, inflatables and other activities for all ages will be located on the grounds of the Arts Center & City Park.
