The application deadline is today for student organizations wishing to be a part of the 2010 Arkansas Tech Homecoming Parade in Downtown Russellville.
The parade will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16. The route will begin across from the Russellville Chamber of Commerce at 708 West Main Street, travel east on Main Street, take a left turn on Commerce Street and proceed to the Russellville Depot on West C Street.
Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top floats presented by student groups. First place will be awarded $800, second will be awarded $500, and third place will be awarded $300.
Since the early 1990s, the Arkansas Tech Homecoming Parade has been held on campus, but returned to downtown last year in honor of the first centennial homecoming celebration.
