Pair of Tech Softball Players Named All-GAC

Victoria Huie and Hayley Hudson represent Arkansas Tech on the 2012 All-Great American Conference softball team.

Huie (photographed, left), a freshman from Pottsville, was named to the All-GAC second team as a pitcher.

She was 9-12 with a 3.37 earned run average this season. Huie made 31 pitching appearances and logged 162 innings. As a batter, she hit .309 with one home run and 12 runs batted in.

Hudson (photographed, right), a sophomore from Enid, Okla., was selected All-GAC honorable mention as a third baseman.

She led the Golden Suns in batting average (.310), home runs (3) and RBIs (21) in 2012.

Arkansas Tech finished the 2012 softball season with an overall record of 16-31. The Suns registered their first-ever GAC Softball Tournament win by defeating East Central University 2-1 on April 26.
