Arkansas Tech University students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to volunteer for Paint the River Valley, a community engagement initiative led by the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute Uncommon Communities program.
The event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, in Russellville and Dardanelle. Individuals may choose to volunteer from 8 a.m.-noon, 1-5 p.m. or during both shifts.
Skills needed for the effort include painting, basic carpentry, art, demolition/construction and power washing.
According to the registration site for volunteers, the mission of Paint the River Valley is to “promote and enable community and economic development by restoring and revitalizing our business district and our community in Pope and Yell Counties.”
