Ozark Campus Sets Enrollment Record

With a preliminary enrollment of 1,802 students this fall semester, Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus has increased its enrollment 499 percent since 2003, when it joined the Arkansas Tech University family.

Arkansas Tech-Ozark’s record number comes as Arkansas Tech set a record of its own, enrolling a record 10,550 students at both the Russellville and Ozark campuses.

Fall 2011 enrollment figures became official at the end of Thursday, the 11th day of classes for the semester. Arkansas Tech-Ozark had a fall 2010 enrollment of 1,636, which gives the campus a nearly 10 percent increase from last year.

Chancellor Jo Alice Blondin said, “The continued responsiveness of the Ozark Campus to student and community needs is reflected in our enrollment increases.”

Richard Harris, chief student officer, said, “I believe that our continued growth can be directly correlated to the hard work of both our staff and faculty, who provide a learning environment that continues to attract students from all over the region.”

Arkansas Tech-Ozark has expanded program offerings with the addition of the Arkansas Tech Career Center in Russellville, as well as in its Health Information Technology and Viticulture programs.
