Arkansas Tech fans can get a rare glimpse of perhaps the greatest football team in Wonder Boys’ history by purchasing a DVD offered by the Arkansas Tech Department of Athletics.
The DVD contains footage from the 1971 NAIA national championship game between Arkansas Tech and Livingston University (now known as the University of West Alabama).

Livingston University defeated Arkansas Tech 14-12 to claim the national title. The game was played at historic Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala.
The 1971 Wonder Boys finished 12-1 overall. They were champions of the Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference and they finished the regular season as the No. 1-ranked team in NAIA football.
The 12 wins accumulated by the 1971 Wonder Boys still stand today as the Arkansas Tech school record for football victories in a season.
