Orientation Sessions Nearing

Incoming freshmen at Arkansas Tech have just over one week left to register to attend the first 2010 TECH Knowledge session.

The first session is scheduled for Friday, June 4, and during the sessions, the students will learn more about Arkansas Tech.

Students participating in the sessions receive information about campus services that are available for students, and they’ll also learn about various organizations and activities at Arkansas Tech.

The TECH Knowledge sessions are led by Arkansas Tech students, and Jaime Martin, coordinator, says this allows incoming freshmen to connect with upperclassmen who can serve as a resource throughout the semester.  Martin says several of the leaders also attended the sessions when they were incoming freshmen at Tech.

There are six sessions scheduled throughout the summer for those wishing to attend.  See the session schedule.

The TECH Knowledge sessions cost $25, and the fee includes an orientation t-shirt, meals, orientation materials and admission to a separate orientation for parents.
