Orientation Session Tuesday

Arkansas Tech University will offer a special orientation session Tuesday to assist transfer and non-traditional students who will begin taking classes at Tech this fall.

The Office of Student Services is hosting the first of two sessions tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. in the Doc Bryan Student Services Building Lecture Hall.

During the session, students will learn about campus activities, organizations and services provided to students attending Arkansas Tech.

Jaime Martin, coordinator of orientation, says the session will also help answer questions that are specific to transfer and non-traditional students.  She explains, “Through this orientation we hope to specifically address the needs and questions that those students who are transferring or are non-traditional students may have about attending classes at Arkansas Tech.”

Martin says this is the first time Arkansas Tech has hosted a specific orientation session to address the needs of transfer and non-traditional students.  As part of the orientation, the students will also be able to tour the campus and visit with campus personnel.

The second orientation session is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 6.
