Orientation Offers New Positions for Students

Students interested in helping to create orientation programs will have a new opportunity this year to interact with incoming freshmen and their families.

Four orientation coordinators will join the orientation staff to assist with the daily planning of activities for new students this fall.

Students who have a passion for Arkansas Tech University, display a history of involvement on campus, demonstrate leadership ability and desire to impact the lives of future Tech students are encouraged to apply.

Candidates are required to have a 2.5 cumulative GPA and be available from Monday, May 14 through the first week of classes in the fall semester.

Selected students will work 20 hours per week, mostly between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Hours will vary during summer orientation programs.

In addition to payment, orientation coordinators will receive on-campus housing at no cost.

Applications and information packets are available in the Doc Bryan Student Services Office.

Applications for orientation leaders, who will assist the orientation coordinators and staff by leading groups of incoming students, will be available later this spring.
