Students interested in becoming an Orientation Leader for the summer have until the end of this week to get their applications in.
Orientation Leaders help new students get familiar with Arkansas Tech, make new friends, and spend the summer making a difference.
Minimum qualifications required include full-time enrollment, successful completion of one semester at Arkansas Tech, minimum GPA of 2.5, and in good academic and disciplinary standing with the university.
Students selected as Orientation Leaders will attend training sessions, serve as leaders during TECH Knowledge, and attend a meeting on Friday, Aug. 19 to prepare for Tech Connect Welcome Week, which is held August 20-23 and is required for Orientation Leaders to attend.
Interviews will be held on Wednesday, March 30, Thursday, March 31, and Friday, April 1.
The application is available on the Orientation website. The deadline for application is noon on Friday, March 18 and students should return forms to Student Services and sign up for an interview time.
