Arkansas Tech’s Students In Free Enterprise has been “bringing together the top leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business” since 2003.

SIFE is an organization that helps students participates in community service projects as well as educate others on basic business practices.  The organization also works with students to help them network with classmates and local business professionals while being a part of a worldwide initiative.

SIFE also instills within its members around the world the concepts of ethical business practices and the idea that economic opportunity should not be exclusive.

Arkansas Tech’s chapter of SIFE since its beginning has been making a mark not only here at Tech with its numerous business workshops, such as annual mock interviews and business attire seminars, but also at regional competitions.

Recently, SIFE on a national level has undergone a few changes.

SIFE now refers to itself as Enactus, Entrepreneurs in Action.

Enactus leaders hope that the new name will better represent them in the future and the Tech chapter feels the same way.

Enactus will continue with community service projects such as Let’s Can Hunger which invites campus organizations and the community to raise canned food items.

The Enactus Team at Arkansas Tech hopes to continue past projects as well as implement new ones as they grow in Enactus.
