Open House Draws Crowd

Numerous high school students gathered at Arkansas Tech Saturday for the annual Tech Open House.

The annual event is held in conjunction with Arkansas Tech Homecoming festivities and allows prospective students to learn more campus life and academics.

Those in attendance were able to meet with representatives from athletics, spirit squads, residence life, admissions, financial aid, ROTC and other groups.

Additionally, representatives from each academic department were on hand to answer questions for students considering a specific major.

Students attending were able to enter to win a 12-hour tuition scholarship from Arkansas Tech.  Terran Vaughan, a senior at Van Buren High School was the winner of the scholarship, which is valued at $2,160.

High school students will have another chance to preview what Arkansas Tech has to offer in the spring at the annual Time-Out for Tech event.
