The Arkansas Tech University Division of Student Affairs has received a 2018-19 National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Excellence Award in recognition of its co-curricular learning initiatives for graduate students.
The ATU On Track program Graduate Scholar track earned a bronze award from NASPA, which serves 15,000 members in all 50 states, 25 countries and eight U.S. territories with professional development, advocacy and research.
According to information provided by the ATU Department of Campus Life, the Graduate Scholar track in the ATU On Track program is designed to “engage graduate students on campus and to encourage scholarly development as well as provide opportunities for professional development.”
Overall learning objectives of the ATU On Track program are:
- Students will understand how physical and mental health contribute to overall wellness.
- Students will navigate their career development.
- Students will indicate baseline characteristics of leadership.
- Students will articulate their personal leadership abilities.
- Students will recognize their role as active citizens.
- Students will compare cultural differences and issues.
- Students will identify involvement opportunities at Arkansas Tech University.
