Persistent forecasts for a 100 percent chance of rain and up to two inches of precipitation on Saturday, Oct. 24, have led Arkansas Tech University to cancel its Party at the Plaza pre-game tailgating celebration on Centennial Plaza for that afternoon.
Chambers Cafeteria will remain open until 2 p.m. Saturday to provide students and campus visitors with a venue to have lunch before the football game.
Kickoff for Great American Conference football between Arkansas Tech University and Southeastern Oklahoma State University is still set for 2 p.m. Saturday.
Party at the Plaza is scheduled to resume for the final two home games of the 2015 Arkansas Tech football season. The party will start at noon on Saturday, Nov. 7, and Saturday, Nov. 14. Kickoff on both of those game days is set for 2 p.m.
