The Department of Nursing at Arkansas Tech University will recognize the achievements of its graduates during a pinning ceremony Friday evening.
The ceremony is taking place at First Assembly of God in Russellville, and it is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
As part of the ceremony, each graduating nursing student will be presented their nursing pin from friends and family.
Several awards will also be presented to honor outstanding nursing students. The Wilkins Award for Excellence in Nursing will be given to a student who has maintained academic excellence throughout the nursing program. The graduating student who best personifies nursing professionalism will be honored with the Student Nurse Award.
Following the ceremony, a reception is planned to honor the students and their families.
