Arkansas Tech University graduate student Rachel Roberts has earned one of the most competitive and prestigious internship opportunities in the field of strength and conditioning.
Roberts will intern with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in Colorado Springs, Colo., from January through May of 2017.
A product of Mena High School, Roberts will graduate from Arkansas Tech with a Master of Science degree in strength and conditioning studies on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016.
As part of her internship with the NSCA, Roberts will assist in the training of athletes in multiple sports. Her duties will include program design and implementation, lifting technique instruction analysis, injury reconditioning, performance testing, research and facility operations.
