Novelist Laura Moriarty to Speak to Students

The Department of English and World Languages will present visiting novelist Laura Moriarty for an event next week.

Students will be able to meet Moriarty and listen to her stories Monday, April 9 at 7 p.m. in Witherspoon Room 126.

Moriarty has written such works as The Center of Everything, The Rest of Her Life, When I’m Falling and the forthcoming The Chaperone.

Moriarty obtained a bachelor’s degree in social work and returned to the University of Kansas for a master’s degree in creative writing. She is now a professor of creative writing at the University of Kansas.

She is a recipient of the George Bennett Fellowship for Creative Writing at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire.
