Cheryl Nolan and Bailee Miller led a contingent of four Arkansas Tech cross country runners to finish in the top 21 in the individual standings at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Invitational on Friday.
Nolan covered the 5-kilometer course at Rebsamen Park Golf Course in 19 minutes, 54.66 seconds to finish in 12th place overall and second among NCAA Division II runners.
Miller (photographed) was right on her heels with a time of 19:55.01 to finish 13th.
Michelle Pollreis (19th, 20:26.98) and Kaitlin Bounds (21st, 20:27.89) were the next two Tech runners across the finish line.
Amanda Bradbury (50th, 22:35.73) and Ashley Perisho (55th, 23:16.42) also competed for the Golden Suns in their first 5-kilometer event of the season.
Arkansas Tech will run in the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo., on Saturday, Sept. 18.
