Nico & Vinz, who rose to international fame with their hit single “Am I Wrong,” will perform at the 2016 Arkansas Tech University Fight On Music Festival on Saturday, Aug. 27, at Tucker Coliseum.
Doors will open at 8:30 p.m. Admission will be free with a valid Arkansas Tech University identification card. Each student is permitted to bring two non-university guests to the concert.
“These exciting new songwriters of Ivorian and Ghanian backgrounds respectively have come together fusing their varied eclectic influences—from pop to reggae, West African dance to hip hop, rock to soul—to create an engaging sound featuring soul-stirring messages that claim high hopes for the future,” reads a portion of the Nico & Vinz bio on their website.
“Am I Wrong” made its American radio debut in April 2014 and reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The music video for “Am I Wrong” has been viewed more than 326 million times on YouTube as of Aug. 23, 2016.
Now in its second year, the Fight On Music Festival is the final event of Welcome Week activities at Arkansas Tech.
