Tech swept the season series from Southeastern Oklahoma State last season, defeating the Savage Storm 80-48 in Durant and 81-68 in Russellville. The Golden Suns are 3-0 all-time in road games against SOSU, including a 59-49 victory on March 8, 1980, in the championship game of the AIAW Regional Tournament. That win propelled Arkansas Tech to its first-ever national tournament berth in women's basketball. About the Savage Storm: Southeastern Oklahoma State stopped a three-game losing streak with a 78-68 victory over arch rival East Central University on Wednesday. Four SOSU players reached double figures in scoring as Southeastern maintained a share of second place in the GAC standings. The Savage Storm leads the Great American Conference and ranks 21st in NCAA Division II in field goal percentage defense (.344). Hatchett is averaging 17.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game in his last five outings. The Sikeston, Mo., product has reached double figures in scoring in nine of Arkansas Tech's last 11 contests. The Wonder Boys continue to lead the GAC in scoring defense (67.4 points allowed per game) and field goal percentage defense (.397). Each of Arkansas Tech's last 14 opponents has shot 46 percent or worse from the field against the Wonder Boys. About the Savage Storm: Southeastern Oklahoma State is on a 10-game losing streak. The Savage Storm ranks last in the GAC in turnover margin (-4.21 per game). Senior forward Urald King ranks among the league leaders in scoring (8th, 15.6 points per game), rebounding (1st, 9.1 per game) and field goal percentage (4th, .600).
