New members of the Arkansas Tech University faculty are on campus today to begin preparations for the 2012-13 academic year.
Today and tomorrow, the new faculty members will be attending orientation sessions with members of academic affairs and human resources. During the sessions, the faculty members will learn about academic procedures, complete paperwork and hear from various university officials.
Later in the week the new faculty members will also take part in meetings with their respective colleges and departments to continue preparations for the semester.
New faculty members will be formally welcomed to the Arkansas Tech campus on Friday at a luncheon that is being held in their honor.
