New Criminal Justice Option for Tech Students

Arkansas Tech University students who earn an Associate of Arts degree in criminal justice will soon have an opportunity to pursue additional educational opportunities thanks to an articulation agreement with Northwestern State University (La.).

The agreement between Arkansas Tech and Northwestern State will allow students holding the associate’s degree in criminal justice to count their two years of study at Arkansas Tech toward a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Northwestern State.

The final two years of the bachelor’s degree will be available online through distance learning.

Dr. Robert C. Brown (photographed, left), Arkansas Tech president, and Dr. Randall Webb (photographed, right), Northwestern State president, signed the agreement.

Dr. John W. Watson, vice president for academic affairs at Arkansas Tech, said that the agreement will go into effect with the spring 2011 semester.
