Need An Extra Three Hours for Spring 2014?

Arkansas Tech University students in need of an additional three-hour class for the spring 2014 semester are invited to enroll in the principles of collegiate success course offered by the Department of College Student Personnel. The course is designed for freshman and sophomore students. Upperclassmen must gain approval from the Department of College Student Personnel prior to registering for the course. Restrictions may apply if a student has already completed CSP 1013 or TECH 1001. The course, CSP 1013, is designed to: *Teach students how to study smarter; *Help students develop more effective study, exam, note taking, reading and writing skills; *Teach students time and task management methods; *Provide assistance in setting academic and career goals; *Help students understand personal responsibility; *Expose students to the services offered on Tech’s campus. The Department of College Student Personnel is offering two sections of the course for spring 2014: *CSP 1013, Section 9, Monday and Wednesday, 5:30-8:30 p.m., begins March 3 *CSP 1013, Section 10, Tuesday and Thursday, 5:30-8:30 p.m., begins March 4 Before enrolling in CSP 1013, students are encouraged to check with the Office of Student Accounts to determine their cost. Students receiving scholarships should contact the Office of Financial Aid to determine if their scholarship can be adjusted to cover all or part of the tuition incurred from adding this course.
