Native Arkansan to Display Drawings at ATU

The Arkansas Tech University Department of Art is host an exhibit of artwork by Robert Bean in the Norman Hall Art Gallery through Tuesday, Feb. 11.

The exhibit, entitled “Thumbnails and Gestures: An Exhibit of Preparatory Drawings by Robert Bean” is open weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at ATU’s Norman Hall, 203 West Q Street. Admission will be free and open to the public.

A native Arkansan and resident of Little Rock, Bean is department chair of painting and drawing at the Museum School of the Arkansas Arts Center. He has offered solo exhibitions of his work at the Arkansas Arts Center, the Yeiser Art Center in Paducah, Ky., Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City, North Central College in Napierville, Ill., and Illinois Central College in East Peoria, Ill.

“Thumbnails and Gestures” will conclude at ATU with a gallery talk and reception at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11. Refreshments will be served.
