National Student Employment Week Awards Presented

The Arkansas Tech University Division of Student Affairs marked National Student Employment Week 2021 by honoring Elizabeth Turner and Shelly Hall for their contributions to an effective student employment program.

Turner was named student employee of the year. She is a junior from Charleston who has worked as a resident assistant at Nutt Residence Hall during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 academic years. She will serve in that capacity at Caraway Residence Hall in 2021-22. Turner is also active in Student Activities Board, Phi Mu and student conduct board at Arkansas Tech.

Hall was recognized as student employee supervisor of the year. She is coordinator of veterans services at Arkansas Tech. Hall has worked at ATU since 2015.

In addition to Turner and Hall, Gannon Keddie and Callie Wright were presented with honorable mention awards as part of the ATU Division of Student Affairs’ observance of National Student Employment Week 2021. Keddie is student building manager for the Hull Building Student Union, while Wright was recognized for her supervisory role as resident director for building operations.

National Student Employment Week is a program sponsored by the National Student Employment Association.
