Arkansas Tech University has been named one of the 10 fastest-growing institutions in its category in the United States for a sixth consecutive year.
The 2018 Almanac of Higher Education, which was published by The Chronicle of Higher Education, lists Arkansas Tech as the ninth fastest-growing public, master degree-granting university in the country.
Arkansas Tech achieved the distinction with 69 percent growth in enrollment during the 10-year span (2006-16) utilized for the listing.
ATU began its 109th session with the opening of the fall 2018 semester on Aug. 22. The institution has announced a preliminary enrollment of 12,071 students for fall 2018, eclipsing the previous ATU record of 12,054 students established in fall 2015.
