Arkansas Tech University students, faculty and staff, and alumni will be able to take part in a university tradition today by purchasing a mum to wear to the 2010 Centennial Homecoming.
Up ‘til Dawn is selling the mums today in Doc’s Place from 10:30: a.m.- 1 p.m. and in the Doc Bryan Student Services Office until 3 p.m.
Wearing mums to Arkansas Tech football games is a longstanding Tech tradition and will return as part of this year’s Homecoming festivities.
The mums my be purchased for $15, and all members of the Arkansas Tech family and friends of the university are encouraged to wear one of the mums.
Mums will not be for sale during Homecoming, and only those ordering in advance will be guaranteed a mum. Those ordering mums will be able to pick them up on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon in Doc Bryan Student Services Building Rotunda or from 3-5 p.m. at the Alumni tent, which will be located at Centennial Plaza.
Up ’til Dawn will use the proceeds from the sale to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
